Hard West 2 is a role-playing and action game sequel to Hard West developed by Ice Code Games. It is Wild West-themed in which the player must outsmart and outgun their opponents in an environment in which nothing is as it appears.

In this second installment of the Hard West series, the American West is shown as a barren and gloomy zone, and there, you are going to explore it. The game, Hard West 2 puts you in command of a specialized paranormal task force and leads efforts to put an end to the phenomenon known as the Ghost Train.

The American West

The main mission in Hard West 2 is placed on a number of different tasks, and decisions need to be made regarding which ones to perform first and in what order. You are in charge of four separate gunslingers, and you’ll have to switch between them as necessary in order to take cover, fire, and make use of any magical talents that are at your disposal.

You'll meet many interesting people in this game. You’ll take on their quests as you ride your horse, including tracking down criminals, solving murders, and fighting off hordes of outlaws and demons. It is fun to play once you get the hang of it, and it has phenomenal graphics and easy-to-understand gameplay and mechanics. It is also very polished compared to the first installment of the series.

However, there are a few downsides to this game which are the constant crashing and a lot of bugs. It also has balancing and difficulty issues, for example, the game's difficulty increases exponentially even when you’re just trying it out. Every single one of your enemies will become far too powerful in one turn, and every single defensive strategy you employ is completely ineffective.

Good but not that great

Hard West 2 is a terrific and entertaining game to play, particularly if you enjoyed the first entry in the series, however, there are several problems with crashes, bugs, balancing, and difficulty levels. It features excellent graphics as well as a gameplay mechanic that is simple to grasp. It is recommended to those who enjoy role-playing action games that have a focus on turn-based gameplay.
